Review of the Geolauf 2010

Geolauf10k- the running event marking the 10 year anniversary of the School of Geoinformation

On Friday, 9 April professional runners, hobby-athletes and students from all over will participate at the Geolauf. A new, attractive track of 10 kilometers for the single-speed event and additional categories for the Junior-Geolauf are some of the highlights.

As every year, the start and finish line are at the FH, Technologiepark Villach, in Villach, St. Magdalen. You can also sign up on the day of the event! The Junior Geolauf will begin at 3 pm. The track for the young participants is 700 m, 1600 m, or 3.2 km long. The award ceremony will take place right after the event. The main event will begin at 5 pm. There will be a single speed event on a 10.25 km track, the traditional team event on a 7.2 km track, in which teams of three runners have to cross the finish line together. After the award ceremony, the participants can enjoy a pasta-party with live-music.
